New London Community & Campus Coalition
What is the NLCCC?

New London Community & Campus Coalition
Alcohol & Drug Information
The New London Community & Campus Coalition (NLCCC) was established in 2003 when Connecticut College and the City of New London's Office of Youth Affairs joined forces to create a community coalition to address issues of underage drinking and substance abuse. Since, over 25 different community agencies and institutions have joined the effort.

A new four-year Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) Partnership for Success grant was secured in the spring of 2010 to continue the coalition's work.

This new grant will promote a data driven effort rooted in proven science based prevention strategies.

Unique to the NLCCC's effort is a community-based environmental approach that calls for all members of the community to engage in the process of evaluation, goal setting, and program implementation.

Mission

The New London Community & Campus Coalition (NLCCC) on youth substance abuse prevention is a collaboration to engage all constituencies in the New London community to combat underage drinking and stem the tide of substance abuse amongst our youth.

Programs and Initiatives How to Get Involved

The NLCCC coalition actively seeks new individual and organizational members and is open to any member of the New London community. We especially encourage New London parents and educators. The group meets monthly in the Martin Center, at 120 Broad Street. Contact the NLCCC office at 860-442-1497 for the date & time of our next meeting and for additional information.
